Thomas J. Blumenfeld, MD obtained his Bachelor's Degree from the University of California at Davis. He graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine in 1990 and completed his orthopaedic residency at Tufts in 1995. In 1996, he completed a clinical and research fellowship with Dr. Bargar in total joint replacement and hip and knee reconstructive surgery. He is American Board Certified. Dr. Blumenfeld performs reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee, including arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee. His research interests include the use of blood in joint replacement surgery and outcomes of hip and knee prosthetic designs.
